I have had this for about 4 years now & I never really got into this product. I have sleep on it for a week or so, then took it off. put it back on, then off again. I had to take it off completly when my wife was pregnant because it made the bed too high & kept sticking her with the feathers. It is noisy too. I sleep on it resently before a move all my things to my new place because it was better than sleeping on the floor when the air went out on my air mattress. it is hard to was and takes days to dry. it is ok, I guess.

Priced Higher than others, but pleased with it so far May 27, 2004
I used to have a pillow top mattress years ago and I missed that. I put the 'Pacific Coast Feather Down on Top Baffle Box Feather Bed, by Pacific Coast' and matching cover on my wish list and received it for my bday. It's about two or three inches high and when you first lie on top of it you get a feeling like your sinking into it, wonderful. Towards the morning though the feathers become compressed (not lumpy at all), it just looses the mushy feeling. You will have to fluff it every night before you go to sleep, just like you would your feather pillow. That does take a minute since its too heavy/big to lift all at once and shake.

I almost didn't add it to my wishlist when I read some reviews for other feather beds about pointy feathers stabbing you all night. I'm glad I did regardless. I haven't noticed any problems. It's possible because I also have the matching cover? The bed and cover have extra layers on top to protect you from this. Anyway I thought I should mention this because it would be a big deal. The covers are a soft cotton, with a zipper. (The ones with the buttons always come undone and are no good). Also, important for me too was that it didn't have a smell. This one seems to be very non-allergenic.

I'm happy with it since it works as it is supposed to and is of nice quality. However, it lost a star because I think the price is too high, $150 for just the twin set.
