The fabric is so light, soft, and comfortable and the prints are simple and beautiful - much more appealing to me than the cutesy (and to me, garishly pastel) alternatives I've seen. Everyone who has come to visit the new baby has mentioned how nice her blankets are and I actually came back to this page to begin with to get another pack of them to buy myself a little more time laundry-wise since she tends to go through blankets and burp cloths fairly quickly. I recommend them and plan to start giving these as baby shower gifts too! July 3, 2010 Meagan Jackson (Arkansas) Our first child was born at the end of May and living in Arkansas it quickly got too warm to swaddle her in receiving blankets. Plus, she was 9 pounds at birth and receiving blankets are hardly big enough to do a true swaddle with. She is now 5 weeks old and every time we put her to sleep, we swaddle her. It is great at calming her and she actually sleeps longer. I couldn't live without these swaddle wraps. They are large enough to do a true swaddle, perfect for warm weather, and the fabric feels great. I worry about her overheating when it's 100+ degrees here, especially with the SIDS risk, but these are breathable and light. They seemed expensive to me, but for the quality and amount of use they get (all day, every day) I would definitely give them 5 stars!
