It's Filatherm dry element is reliable and energy efficient, using less power than your average lightbulb. Great for year-round use! Really helps draw moisture away during the hot and humid months. Keeps your towels from smelling musty. Also helps eliminate mold & mildew growth. Quicker heat up time, more effective drying and no worrying about oils/liquids leaking from the unit. Great for drying delicates, hand washables, swimsuits and warming baby blankets and bedding. Product reaches optimum temperature within 30-40 minutes, but you need a good 2-3 hours for the heat to build up in the fibers of the towels. Recommend leaving towels on rack overnight before initial use. Make sure to layer your towels (do not weave throughout the bars). Lyons (NYC) We have both the Kensington wall mounted Warmrails and the Heated Towel Shelves. Both are in Chrome, are hard-wired and have been in our beach house (very humid) for 3.5 years. Both still look great...the chrome finish has held up very well. The Warmrails Shelves are a really good looking option for the price. There are many towel shelves available for double the price of the Warmrails which have no capacity for warming towels, so why not add a little luxury to your bathroom. We use ours for drying bathing suits as well. The work well in a space where you have less vertical hanging room as you can install the shelves above other bath items and tiling. However, if you are looking for really warm towels, and lots of capacity, the Kensington model is more effective and will give you toastier towels , with its many bars for towels, bathing suits and hand wash. We have two in our "shared" family bath and they really get a workout in the summer with lots of bathing suits for our family and guests. In the winter, they keep the bathroom warm and dry feeling, even when we set the thermometer on 60 degrees overnight. Good Economical Towel Warmer January 20, 2010 David Chesher (Metro DC) I've had this towel warmer now for two years and it's still working well and the finish has held up fine. It cuts down the time needed for a towel to drive to 1/6th of the time required without one. Mounting it was a little difficult as several of the other reviews have noted. If you aren't very handy you may wish to find someone to install it for you. The towels don't get really toasty, but they are a bit warm which is still nice after a shower in winter. Quick drying also prevents towels from smelling after a day or two, and definitely cuts down on laundry loads. Towel Warmer September 13, 2009 Eduardo Silva (Sao Paulo, BR) Good Size. It warms towels that I place on the towel warmer. I had to reposition the towels for optimum heat. Works best with only two towels (one on the botton and one on the top rack)........I like it alot. this towel warmer was for a guest bathroom. I'm thinking about getting a longer towel warmer for the master bathroom. However, I'm not sure if it wil be from Warmrails.........i might go with myson.................. but warm rails was definately worth the money. good quality product............
